I just found the answer to my question.. and if any one needs the fix use the "ASIO4ALL" Asio driver. It's a free download, just Google it and you'll find out all about it. It worked like a champ. Thanks for the return! Oh.. I'm using Vista.. brand new machines (Dells) with Intel Duo Quad processors and 2 gigs of RAM. It's a HAAS. It was just the driver messing it up.

Hey Jim,
Are you on Vista or XP? What are your machine specs--motherboard make and model, memory, etc.? Google "Adobe user forums" for known conflicts with your hardware setup. Have you tried using firewire as an interface and bypassing the sound card altogether? That's how mine is set up; it simplifies things.

Anyone else having issues with Adobe Audition 3.0 and any type of pro sound card? We just upgraded at the station here with Lynx pro balanced cards, and 3.0 crashes quite a bit. hate to have to go back to non balanced cards or dumb down back to 2.0 or 1.5. Any fixes folks??
